Ingredients:
500g Fettucine pasta
500g Ground beef
3/4 canned tomatoes
1/4 red capsicum
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon red pepper
splash of red wine
splash of soy sauce
1-2 teaspoons pimento
1 cinnamon stick
Parmesan cheese, to serve
Chilli flakes (optional)
Method:
1. Mise en place.
2. Prep a medium sized pot with boiling salted water and place in pasta for 10-15 minutes.
3. Once pasta is cooked, drain the water and place pasta back into the pot.
4. In a saucepan with olive oil, place the beef. Adding to it, soy sauce, wine the diced onion, capsicum salt, pepper, cinnamon, garlic.
5. Keep the pasta and bolognese in seperate cookware. Serve in a bowl with some parmesan cheese on top.
Optional: Once pasta is cooked, reserve some of the pasta water, Place the cooked pasta and cooked bolognese in one pot and mix until combined for a more flavourful pasta. Use reserved pasta water to combine the pasta and bolognese easier.
